Why Lord Ganesha Broke Lord Kubera’s Pride: Know the Complete Story

Lord Ganesh and Lor Kuber

In Hinduism, Lord Ganesha is worshipped as the symbol of wisdom, humility, and discernment, while Lord Kubera is known as the deity of wealth and prosperity. However, there was a time when Kubera became arrogant because of his immense riches. To teach him a lesson, Lord Ganesha shattered his pride completely. This fascinating episode is mentioned in the Shiva Purana and Skanda Purana.

Kubera’s Arrogance and the Grand Feast Invitation

According to the legend, Lord Kubera possessed limitless wealth and gradually developed excessive pride in his riches. Believing that no one in the universe was as wealthy as him, he decided to showcase his grandeur. Driven by arrogance, Kubera invited Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati to Mount Kailash for a lavish feast, intending to display his prosperity.

Lord Shiva, however, understood Kubera’s inner intention. He politely declined the invitation and said that Bal Ganesha (young Lord Ganesha) would attend the feast on his behalf. Kubera felt relieved, thinking that a child would eat very little and would not cause any concern.

When Lord Ganesha Arrived at Kubera’s Palace

When Lord Ganesha reached Kubera’s palace, an enormous variety of delicious dishes was served before him. As Ganesha began eating, his hunger kept increasing instead of being satisfied. One by one, he consumed all the prepared delicacies, yet his hunger remained.

Soon, Ganesha declared that the food was insufficient. A worried Kubera ordered food from the entire city, but even that was not enough. Eventually, Lord Ganesha started consuming Kubera’s wealth, treasures, and even the palace itself. In no time, Kubera was left completely helpless and bankrupt.

Goddess Parvati’s Simple Remedy

Terrified and humbled, Kubera rushed to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, begging for forgiveness. Goddess Parvati gave him a simple solution — a handful of plain roasted rice. When Kubera offered it to Lord Ganesha, his hunger was instantly satisfied.

Lord Ganesha then explained that wealth should be used for righteousness, service, and humility — not for arrogance or ego. Kubera realized his mistake, bowed down in repentance, and vowed to remain humble forever.

Spiritual Message of the Story

This divine story teaches an important lesson: pride born from wealth leads to downfall, while humility and devotion bring true prosperity. Lord Ganesha’s act was not punishment, but a reminder that material riches are meaningless without wisdom and humility.

  1. Before putting any money in, I checked the
FAQ to see how fast payouts really are. Toss in a massive AU$4,140 bonus
and 400 free spins, and I was more than happy to stick around and explore.

Although my hunt for snappy payouts led me to Mino
Casino, I stayed for its selection of instant games, which includes top keno titles and several crash games.

Also, the casino should have a solid reputation, proper licensing,
and third-party audits to ensure fair gameplay. PayID itself is
a secure payment method developed by leading Australian banks, providing real-time, peer-to-peer transactions.

Check your casino’s e-wallet compatibility to ensure your chosen payment method is available for
use. At the best programs, even small deposits steadily
build toward exclusive rewards at the best PayID casino Australia real money platforms.
As you wager, you climb tiers and unlock perks such as extra spins, birthday bonuses, and
    higher withdrawal limits.

Debit cards are a classic and reliable payment method for funding your account, offering ease of
    use and wide acceptance.
You can have as many accounts as you wish as long as you
don’t have more than one account per casino.
Some people might only consider casinos launched yesterday to
be new. Freak listed several online casinos released in the last
12 months on this page. If responsible play is a
challenge with a single casino account, you shouldn’t expect it to get easier with
multiple accounts. I can access all my accounts in seconds, and never have to worry about passwords since my fingerprints don’t change.
Speaking from experience, remembering login details for several
casinos can be a pain. There is no difference between playing on a mobile device or a desktop computer.

To protect players, serious operators submit their RNGs and games to independent testing labs,
which verify that long‑term results match the advertised Return to Player
(RTP) and that the RNG does not show exploitable patterns.
Instead of visiting a land‑based casino, you
log in, deposit funds and place bets through an on‑screen interface that emulates
the real‑world experience. An online casino is a website or mobile app where you can play digital versions of traditional casino games for real money
    or virtual credits.
A good review covers important aspects like game selection, user experience, customer service,
and security, offering a well-rounded evaluation. And when we find a casino doing everything well, we’ll ensure
you know about it. We’re not afraid to highlight the bad stuff
because we want you to have the best experience.
They check out how the casinos handle your money,

They don’t just look at the games and the
fun stuff; they dig deep to ensure everything is fair and safe.
When looking for a good online casino, it’s important
to have someone you can trust to tell you what’s what.

They even offer ways to take breaks if you need
to spend less time or money gambling.
The main tools to look for are deposit limits, session reminders, cool-off periods, reality checks, and self-exclusion. New Australian online casinos should make responsible gambling tools easy to find
and quick to activate from your account dashboard. If you spot
any of these red flags before depositing, it’s usually a
sign to move on. This means you don’t need to download
an app to enjoy pokies or live dealer games on iOS or Android.
Each top-ranked new casino online in Australia for 2026 is fully
    mobile-compatible via browser.
KingMaker is an award-winning casino that won the Rising Star Casino award at the reputable SiGMA awards, and it’s easily one of the
best new Australian casinos. If I won A$1,000,000 while playing with
free spins I’ve received from a casino welcome bonus, I’d definitely
feel like a king! I also like the welcome bonus, which offers up to A$3,000 and 200 free spins, and
you get 30 days to clear the 40x wagering requirement,
which is a longer eligibility period than what most new casinos offer.

But, it’s been the most overused ‘lucky number’, so I get why the
operator chose the Lucky7even name (and, admittedly, I
do love the 7even movie). Plus, staying committed to this
casino in the long run gets you VIP benefits that are accessible to
all players, even casual ones who stay active over
time. It would also be beneficial to see more features for
safe (responsible) gambling the next time I return,
considering the current options are limited to self-exclusion. With a deposit of A$20 to A$100, you get the 100% match, but only 25 free spins.

For an in-depth guide on the best VIP and
high roller casinos, check out this guide. The pokies
that you will have available will be provided by some of the industry’s leading
software developers like NetEnt, Yggdrasil, Microgaming,
Playtech, Pragmatic Play and plenty of others. These games are streamed in real-time and
feature real dealers, combining the convenience
of online gaming with the excitement of live play. Online platforms allow players to buy lottery
tickets and join bingo rooms from the comfort of their home.
