Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: The Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya is now becoming a perfect blend of spirituality, heritage, and natural beauty. Along with the completion of the Ram Mandir and other temples, the large-scale plantation and landscaping work carried out by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has transformed the temple premises into a lush green and peaceful environment.

The plantation drive has created a refreshing atmosphere across the campus, with flowering plants, shaded trees, fruit-bearing trees, and medicinal plants enhancing the beauty of the sacred site.

30 Acres of Landscaping Developed Inside Ram Janmabhoomi Campus

Out of the nearly 70-acre Ram Janmabhoomi complex, around 30 acres have been developed with gardens and greenery by the Trust.

The landscaped area includes:

  • Shade-giving trees
  • Fruit-bearing plants
  • Medicinal herbs
  • Seasonal flowers
  • Decorative plants
  • Indian and foreign flower species

As devotees enter the Ram Temple complex, colorful flowers and beautifully maintained gardens create a divine and attractive atmosphere.

Panchvati Developed on the Theme of Treta Yuga

One of the most unique attractions in the Ram Temple complex is the newly developed 10-acre Panchvati, inspired by the concept described in the Treta Yuga during Lord Ram’s era.

The Panchvati area includes five sacred trees:

  • Banyan (Bargad)
  • Amla
  • Peepal
  • Bel
  • Sita Ashok

According to the Trust, this Panchvati has been designed on the same spiritual concept associated with the time of Lord Ram.

Nakshatra Vatika with 27 Sacred Plants Created

The Trust has also developed a special Nakshatra Vatika, where 27 types of plants associated with the 27 Nakshatras (constellations) in Hindu astrology have been planted.

In addition, the areas around:

  • Ram Mandir
  • Saptarishi Temples
  • Auxiliary temples
  • Kuber Tila

have been decorated with 56 varieties of seasonal and ornamental flowers, including both Indian and exotic species.

Devotees Enjoy Peaceful and Green Surroundings

The green environment around Kuber Tila and the Saptarishi temples has become highly attractive for devotees. Many pilgrims can now be seen resting under the shade of trees and spending more time within the temple premises after darshan.

Since there are currently fewer restrictions on visiting time, devotees are able to enjoy the spiritual and natural beauty of the Ram Temple complex more comfortably.

GMR Group Executed the Green Development Project

The entire landscaping and green development work inside the Ram Janmabhoomi complex was assigned to the GMR Group, a company known for developing major airports across India.

The project reflects the Trust’s vision of creating a world-class spiritual destination that also promotes:

  • Environmental conservation
  • Sustainable development
  • Green infrastructure
  • Traditional Indian ecological values

Ram Mandir Complex Becoming a Major Spiritual and Eco-Friendly Destination

The transformation of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex into a spiritually vibrant and environmentally rich destination is enhancing the experience of devotees visiting Ayodhya from across India and around the world.

The development of Panchvati, Nakshatra Vatika, landscaped gardens, and green resting areas highlights how the Ram Temple complex is evolving into a symbol of faith, culture, nature, and sustainability.
