Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: Rising public frustration over frequent power cuts, electricity tripping, and load shedding in Ayodhya has prompted MLA Dr. Amit Singh Chauhan to issue a strong warning to electricity department officials. The legislator has directed authorities to improve electricity supply within 24 hours, warning of action if conditions fail to improve.

The concerns have been particularly severe in the Bikapur Assembly constituency, where residents have reportedly faced continuous power interruptions during both day and night over the past week.

MLA Holds Meeting with Electricity Officials Over Supply Issues

Dr. Amit Singh Chauhan convened a meeting with officials from the Electricity Distribution Division-IV, Rudauli, including:

  • Executive Engineer Rohit Jain
  • Sub-Divisional Officer Arshad Ali
  • Four junior engineers from the region

During the meeting, the MLA instructed officials to engage directly with local residents and respond seriously to complaints related to electricity disruptions.

He emphasized that when consumers call with grievances, officials should:

  • Listen patiently to complaints
  • Explain the reason behind outages
  • Inform residents about the expected restoration time
  • Avoid ignoring public concerns

Frequent Power Tripping and Long Night Cuts Criticized

The MLA criticized repeated power tripping and prolonged electricity cuts, stating that irregular outages damage electrical appliances and create inconvenience for residents.

He highlighted concerns including:

  • Unscheduled power cuts
  • Frequent electricity tripping
  • Long outages lasting 2–3 hours during nighttime
  • Supply disruptions despite fixed power rosters

Dr. Chauhan directed officials to identify the root causes behind repeated tripping and ensure prompt repairs.

24-Hour Deadline to Improve Electricity Supply

The MLA instructed the electricity department to resolve existing deficiencies and improve the power supply system within 24 hours.

He also demanded uninterrupted electricity supply according to the approved power roster in the Bikapur constituency, stressing that available electricity allocation should be utilized with 100% efficiency.

Public Anger Growing Over Frequent Load Shedding in Ayodhya

Residents have reportedly expressed growing dissatisfaction over continuous load shedding and power cuts in recent weeks, prompting multiple complaints to elected representatives.

Following these complaints, the MLA called electricity officials for discussions and issued strict instructions to address the issue immediately.

Executive Engineer Rohit Jain stated that minor technical faults affecting electricity supply would be repaired immediately, and efforts would be made to ensure uninterrupted power supply according to government directives.
