President Droupadi Murmu will visit Ayodhya on Thursday after a gap of nearly one and a half years, following an invitation from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. After her visit, she is scheduled to travel to Mathura.

During her visit, the President will offer prayers and perform rituals for Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple Ayodhya. She will also install the Shri Ram Yantra and inaugurate the Ram Naam Temple on the second floor of the temple. Additionally, she will participate in the midday prayer ceremony of the Ram Parivar (the family of Lord Ram).

Following this, she will visit the temples of Goddess Annapurna and Goddess Durga within the temple complex and attend the Hindu New Year celebration (Nav Samvatsar). During the event, President Murmu may honor distinguished artisans (Karmayogis) involved in the construction of the Ram Temple and address the gathered devotees. She is also expected to visit the Saptarishi temples built within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

Detailed Schedule and Grand Welcome

President Murmu will arrive at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at 10:15 AM via a special flight. From there, she will travel approximately 15 kilometers by road to reach the Ram Janmabhoomi complex at around 10:40 AM.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for her welcome. Cultural stages have been set up at 20 key locations across the city, where around 250 artists will perform traditional Awadhi folk dances, devotional songs, and programs based on the Ramayana.

After installing the Shri Ram Yantra, the President will reach the main event venue at 12:30 PM. The Hindu New Year celebration is being organized outside the temple complex in the northern direction. Following the national song and anthem, Yogi Adityanath and temple trust treasurer Swami Govinddev Giri will honor the President.

Spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel will also address the gathering. President Murmu is scheduled to deliver her speech at 1:05 PM.

After the event, she will partake in the ceremonial meal (prasad) and visit the Saptarishi temples within the complex around 2:30 PM. She will also offer prayers at the temples dedicated to Mata Shabari and Maharishi Valmiki, conveying a message of social harmony. The President will depart for the airport at 2:40 PM and leave for Agra at 3:05 PM.

Shri Ram Yantra to Enhance Spiritual Energy

The Shri Ram Yantra is being installed by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to enhance spiritual energy within the temple complex. It is a replica of the original Shri Ram Yantra established at the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and has been prepared by Shankaracharya Swami Vijayendra Saraswati.

Considered auspicious and spiritually beneficial, the gold-plated Yantra is crafted on a 150-kilogram alloy plate. It is engraved with various Vedic and seed mantras of Lord Ram and has been sanctified through elaborate rituals. The Yantra was brought to Ayodhya in December 2024 from the Tirupati Devasthanam as part of a chariot procession and later handed over to the temple trust.

The Ram Naam Temple, also being established on the second floor, will preserve rare manuscripts and ancient texts related to Lord Ram and the Ramayana from across India. These may be displayed publicly in the future.

7,000 Guests Invited for Hindu New Year Celebration

Around 7,000 guests have been invited to the Hindu New Year event. These include workers, artisans, engineers, officials associated with temple construction, stone suppliers, donors, and volunteers who contributed to the Ram Temple movement and fundraising campaigns. Prominent saints from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will also attend. The trust will honor several Karmayogis for their contributions to the temple construction.
