Floating Bathing Ghat Being Built on Saryu River in Ayodhya at ₹3.65 Crore Cost, Facilities to Open from February

Ayodhya-news

A floating bathing ghat is being constructed on the Saryu River in Ayodhya at a cost of ₹3.65 crore to provide devotees with a safe and convenient bathing experience. The project is being developed by the Ayodhya Development Authority and is located on the route from Naya Ghat Bridge towards Sant Tulsidas Ghat.

The floating bathing ghat is expected to be completed by the end of next month, after the state government approved and released the required funds. According to project manager Vipin Srivastava, the construction work is being carried out by Mumbai-based Litmus Company.

Separate Facilities for Men and Women

The bathing ghat will feature two separate bathing tanks—one for men and one for women—along with individual changing rooms for both. The bathing platform will be capable of accommodating up to 100 people at a time, ensuring a smooth and organized experience for pilgrims.

To enhance convenience, a shop will also be set up near the ghat to provide essential bathing items. The facility has been designed to ensure complete safety, allowing even children and teenagers to bathe comfortably.

Floating Design Ensures Year-Round Use

One of the key features of the project is its floating structure. If the water level of the Saryu River decreases, the bathing ghat can be moved to a section of the river with sufficient water depth. The bathing tanks will maintain a moderate depth to ensure safety at all times.

This initiative aims to improve pilgrim facilities in Ayodhya, especially during peak religious seasons, and offer a safe, hygienic, and well-managed bathing option along the sacred Saryu River.
