Geetu Mohandas: From Child Actor to Acclaimed Director
Geetu Mohandas, born as Gayathri Das in Kerala to Mohandas and his wife Latha, began her journey in cinema at the young age of just five. She made her acting debut in 1986 alongside legendary actor Mohanlal, earning widespread praise from critics and audiences alike. Her performance won her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist, marking an early milestone in her career.
She went on to act in several popular Malayalam films, including Sayam Sandhya, Veendum, Rariram, and the highly successful En Bommakutti Ammavukku. In 2000, she transitioned into adult roles with Mohanlal’s film Life Is Beautiful and later appeared in movies such as Thenkasipattanam, Kannaki, Sethumadhavan, Rappakal, Aakashagopuram, and Nammal Thammil.
