Veteran Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has recently hinted that actor Kartik Aaryan may be facing a targeted agenda within the film industry. According to Shetty, the kind of treatment once meted out to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput appears to be repeating itself, this time with Kartik Aaryan.

Even years after his untimely death, fans of Sushant Singh Rajput have not been able to come to terms with the mystery surrounding his demise. On June 20, 2020, Sushant was found dead at his residence. To this day, it remains unclear whether his death was a case of murder, suicide, or something else entirely.

Sushant’s Death Shook the Industry

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death sent shockwaves not just through his fan base but also across the film industry. The incident reignited intense discussions around nepotism and internal politics in Bollywood. Many believed that Sushant, being an outsider, was sidelined and denied fair opportunities, which ultimately took a toll on him.

Since then, debates around favoritism and discrimination against outsiders have surfaced repeatedly—especially whenever a non-industry actor faces setbacks.

Is Kartik Aaryan Being Targeted?

The conversation has resurfaced once again following the release of Kartik Aaryan’s film Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, which has reportedly failed to perform well at the box office. Around the same time, a reel went viral on social media suggesting that Kartik is being deliberately targeted and sidelined, with an agenda aimed at projecting him negatively.

The viral video alleged that certain creators and major YouTubers are being paid to publish negative content against specific actors, portraying them as “fake PR products” rather than genuinely critiquing their work.

Suniel Shetty’s Silent Endorsement Raises Eyebrows

What intensified the debate was the fact that Suniel Shetty liked the viral reel, which many interpreted as a sign of agreement. In the video, the influencer clarified that criticism of a film’s story, screenplay, or music is fair—but personal attacks, career-destroying narratives, and targeted hatred against outsiders cross a line.

The caption of the reel read:

“This is not about liking or disliking a film. This is about where criticism ends and cruelty begins. Paid noise, character assassination, and targeted hate against outsiders are deeply troubling. Cinema deserves honesty, not agendas.”

Suniel Shetty’s interaction with the post has fueled speculation that influential voices within the industry are also concerned about the growing toxicity and internal politics affecting talented outsiders.

A Growing Concern in Bollywood

The discussion has once again brought Bollywood’s power dynamics under scrutiny. While audiences are free to critique cinema, many believe that systematic targeting of individual actors—especially outsiders—can have long-term consequences, as seen in the past.

Whether Kartik Aaryan is truly facing an agenda remains a matter of debate, but the conversation highlights a larger issue that Bollywood continues to grapple with: fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity.
