Farmers have a golden opportunity to avail benefits under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission (NFSM) for the financial year 2025–26. Under the pulses and wheat component of the scheme, two threshing floors have been made available in Shujaganj, Ayodhya district.

Interested and registered farmers can apply online through the Krishi Darshan-2 portal until February 13, 2026. The selection of beneficiaries will be carried out through a transparent e-lottery system, making post-harvest operations easier and more time-efficient.

Transparent Selection Through E-Lottery

According to Assistant Agriculture Officer Chandrasen, only farmers registered with the Agriculture Department are eligible to apply. Each farmer will be allowed to avail the benefit of only one threshing floor.

If the number of applications exceeds the allotted target, beneficiaries will be selected through a lottery process conducted by a district-level committee. The committee, headed by the District Magistrate, will ensure complete transparency in the selection process.

Entire Application Process is Online

The application process for the NFSM threshing floor scheme is fully online. Farmers must apply according to their respective ward and area to be eligible for consideration.

The Agriculture Department has directed local technical assistants and officials to widely publicize the scheme so that more farmers can take advantage of this opportunity.

Benefits of the Threshing Floor Scheme

Anil Gaur, in-charge of the Government Agriculture Warehouse in Rudauli, stated that the scheme will significantly ease post-harvest activities for wheat and pulses farmers. It will help save time during threshing operations and reduce labor efforts.

Additionally, the facility will assist farmers in maintaining crop quality after harvesting, ultimately helping them secure better market prices for their produce.
