CM Yogi to Transfer ₹1 Lakh First Installment to Over 2 Lakh Beneficiaries Under PMAY (Urban) on January 18
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will transfer the first installment of ₹1 lakh each to the bank accounts of more than two lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) on January 18. The amount will be credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) with a single click.
Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar will also be present at the event. The main programme will be held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, where around 1,500 beneficiaries will participate in person. Beneficiaries from other districts will join the programme online. The state government has directed all districts to organize the event on a grand scale in the presence of public representatives.
During the programme, CM Yogi Adityanath will interact with beneficiaries and share updates on the progress and impact of the housing scheme. Senior officials stated that this initiative will significantly accelerate house construction for eligible families and help ensure timely completion of permanent homes.
Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma and senior departmental officials will also attend the event. The transfer of the first installment is expected to provide strong financial support to beneficiaries and boost the pace of construction under the PMAY (Urban) scheme.
