Ayodhya is set to get a major boost in healthcare infrastructure with the construction of a 50-bed Heart Care Centre at Shri Ram Hospital. The ambitious project, estimated at ₹10 crore, will be developed on 15,000 square feet of land within the hospital परिसर.

At present, the identified plot houses several dilapidated structures, which the Public Works Department (PWD) has already declared unfit for use and recommended for demolition. Before construction begins, the land will be levelled, and officials indicate that ground-levelling work is likely to start by the end of this month.

Advanced Medical Facilities Planned

The proposed Heart Care Centre will be a state-of-the-art medical facility equipped with pathology and radiology blocks. Along with routine X-ray and ultrasound services, the centre will offer digital X-ray, CT scan, and MRI facilities.

The pathology block will be developed with modern infrastructure and cutting-edge technology, providing advanced diagnostic services including histopathology, cytology, and serology tests, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis for patients.

Strengthening Healthcare in the Temple City

While healthcare services in Ayodhya have seen steady improvement over the years, the rapid rise in the number of pilgrims and visitors has increased pressure on medical facilities—especially for cardiac patients, who often face the most challenges.

Taking this into account, the government has planned to upgrade Shri Ram Hospital, located near the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, into a super-specialty hospital. The Heart Care Centre will be a key component of this larger healthcare development plan.

Hospital Administration Expresses Gratitude

Hospital Administrative Officer Yashprakash Singh said sustained efforts were made toward realizing this project, with support from Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust officials and influential local religious leaders. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, Health Minister, and all contributors who helped bring the project closer to execution.

Hospital Staff Ready for Greater Responsibility

Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. V.K. Verma stated that as Ayodhya’s principal healthcare institution, Shri Ram Hospital already shoulders significant responsibility. With the addition of a Heart Care Centre, the hospital staff are even more committed to delivering high-quality medical care to patients and pilgrims alike.
