Habib said that he chose not to comment in detail on the character itself but admitted that he found the film extremely impressive, so much so that he watched it twice. He expressed gratitude to Indian cinema, stating that Bollywood succeeded in doing what Pakistan could not.

He further remarked that Rahman Daku was not a villain in real life but a hero of Lyari. According to him, Pakistan remains indebted to Rahman Daku, adding that without figures like Rahman Daku and Uzair Baloch, Pakistan’s situation could have been similar to that of Bangladesh.
