On the second day of her visit to the holy city of Ayodhya, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman performed the aarti of Lord Shri Ram Lalla along with her family on Thursday. After offering prayers at Shri Ram Darbar and Maa Durga’s shrine, she also performed the Rudrabhishek ritual of Lord Mahadev at Kuber Teela.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, guided her through the temple premises and shared key details related to the temple’s construction.
Known as the Cultural Capital of India, Ayodhya — the sacred city of Lord Shri Ram — witnessed a deeply devotional atmosphere as the Finance Minister, accompanied by her family, participated in the aarti of Shri Ram Lalla, paid obeisance to Lord Ram Darbar and Goddess Durga, and performed Rudrabhishek of Lord Mahadev at Kuber Teela.
During her visit, Sitharaman expressed profound devotion and pride after witnessing the magnificent architecture of the grand Ram Temple. The entire Ram Lalla Darbar was filled with devotional fervor during the aarti. The gentle breeze from the Saryu River and the resonating hymns within the temple premises created a divine and serene atmosphere. After lighting the ceremonial lamp, the Finance Minister joined the devotees in chanting “Jai Shri Ram”.
Trust’s Warm Welcome
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust extended a warm welcome to the Finance Minister by presenting her with a bouquet of flowers. Discussions were also held regarding temple security, arrangements for darshan, and ongoing development projects.
Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and Agriculture Minister & Ayodhya District In-Charge Surya Pratap Shahi were also present during the occasion.
