High Alert in Uttar Pradesh After Iran Supreme Leader Khamenei’s Death; Tight Security Ahead of Holi

Following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters has issued a high alert across the state. Authorities have directed all districts to exercise heightened vigilance, especially in view of the upcoming Holi festival.

The advisory emphasizes strengthening security arrangements to ensure law and order during the festive period.


Special Surveillance in Sensitive Areas

According to the alert issued by the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters, strict monitoring has been ordered in sensitive districts, religious places, crowded marketplaces, railway stations, bus terminals, and other key establishments.

Officials have instructed local administrations to remain on high alert and take preventive measures to avoid any untoward incidents.


Close Monitoring of Social Media

Police have also been directed to closely monitor social media platforms to prevent the spread of rumors or inflammatory content. Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found spreading misinformation or attempting to disturb communal harmony.


Increased Deployment of Security Forces

All Zonal ADGs, Range IGs, and district police chiefs have been instructed to ensure adequate deployment of security personnel during Holi celebrations. Police Response Vehicles (PRVs) and Dial 112 emergency services have been placed on high alert.

Additionally, flag marches and foot patrols have been intensified in sensitive areas to maintain peace and public confidence.


Intelligence Agencies Activated

The state’s intelligence network has also been activated as a precautionary measure. Senior officials have clarified that the situation in Uttar Pradesh remains normal, but the high alert has been issued to ensure that Holi celebrations are conducted in a peaceful and secure environment.
