The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya is set to launch an e-cart service for devotees starting November 26. This facility will allow pilgrims to conveniently visit the seven subsidiary temples, the Saptamandaps, and the ancient Kuber Tila within the Ram Temple complex. Initially, the service will be available only to visitors holding authorized entry passes.

The Trust aims to make the darshan (temple visit) experience smoother and more efficient for devotees, helping them complete their visits in less time while reducing foot traffic and overcrowding inside the temple premises.

Starting the day after the flag-hoisting ceremony on November 25, devotees will be able to reach the seven supplementary temples, the Saptarishi temples, and Kuber Tila using eco-friendly electric carts (e-carts).

In the early phase, entry to these temples will be granted only to pass holders, though a full darshan plan has been prepared and will soon be made public.

The construction work of the Ram Temple, along with its seven subsidiary temples, Saptarishi temples, and outer boundary (parikota), is almost complete. Final touches such as finishing work, cleaning, and landscaping are currently underway.

On November 25, the religious flag-hoisting ceremony (Dharma Dhwaja Arohan) will take place on the main temple and all the subsidiary shrines, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, and other dignitaries in attendance.

Following the ceremony, from November 26 onward, devotees will be able to offer prayers at all seven subsidiary temples, dedicated to:

  • Lord Shiva
  • Lord Ganesha
  • Lord Surya (Sun God)
  • Goddess Durga
  • Goddess Annapurna
  • Lord Hanuman
  • Sheshavatar Lakshman Ji

Additionally, darshan will also open for the Ramayana-era Saptarishis:
Maharshi Valmiki, Vishwamitra, Vashishtha, Agastya, Nishadraj, Mata Shabari, and Mata Ahilya.

Along with these, devotees will be allowed to visit the ancient Kuber Tila, which until now has been restricted to VIP visitors. Special guests have already been provided e-cart access to this sacred site.

The temple complex spans nearly 800 meters, with six temples constructed within the inner boundary. Outside the periphery, towards the southwest, are the Saptamandaps and Sheshavatar temple, while Kuber Tila lies further west.

If devotees were to walk to each shrine on foot, it would take considerable time and effort. Hence, the Trust has proposed the e-cart system to provide quick and comfortable mobility.

However, the final decision on whether the e-cart service will be extended to all visitors or reserved for special guests is yet to be made.

According to Gopal Rao, the manager of the Ram Temple,

“Before the commencement of darshan in the subsidiary temples, the entire plan will be made public. The e-cart system will ensure that devotees have a pleasant and convenient experience within the temple premises.”
