Ayodhya’s All-Round Development Accelerates Under Modi–Yogi Governments: Transport Minister Highlights Major Growth
In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the Transport Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the city’s overall development has received unprecedented momentum. He praised the rapid progress of infrastructure and tourism projects and reiterated the government’s commitment to transforming Ayodhya into a world-class spiritual and cultural destination.
On Tuesday, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh performed the bhoomi pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for the 1251-Kundi Shri Lakshminarayan Mahayajna and Hanumat Shri Ram Mahayajna, scheduled to take place from March 20 to 26, 2026, on the auspicious occasion of Shri Ram Navami. This grand event is being described as a unique blend of religious devotion and social harmony in the holy city of Ayodhya.
Before the ceremony, Minister Dayashankar Singh and former Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay visited the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex, offered prayers to Ram Lalla, and bowed before Mahabali Hanuman at Hanumangarhi to seek blessings.
Transport Minister Singh said that Ayodhya is stepping into a new era, rising beyond its glorious history. He emphasized that under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Yogi, Ayodhya’s holistic development has gained exceptional speed.
He added that after the construction of the Ram Temple, the government is continuously working to upgrade roads, transportation services, infrastructure, and tourism amenities to global standards. The upcoming Mahayajna on Ram Navami will further strengthen Ayodhya’s spiritual identity on the international stage.
Former Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay said the development of Ayodhya is not just about expanding projects, but is an expression of deep respect for the faith of millions of devotees. He highlighted that while modern amenities are being added to the city, preserving Ayodhya’s cultural essence remains a top priority for the government. He expressed confidence that the Mahayajna will enhance the spiritual and cultural radiance of the holy city even further.
